Goodwill Ambassadors that are commissioned may have the right to join their nation's Diplomatic Corps, normally abbreviated CD for the French Corps Diplomatique; if goodwill ambassadors are recognized. Most countries do not recognize goodwill ambassadors as part of their diplomatic corps for various reasons, but some of the smaller countries do, they have little option as they do not depend on many international policies or have their economies based primarily on tourism.
but most obviously because most goodwill ambassadors do not have adequate education or experience in foreign relations, the have a public purpose and because goodwill ambassadors are not permitted to engage in political agendas.
